Very nice rooms

The bar was very smokey, even if it should be nonsmoking in the room. The smoking room was just next door and the smoke didn´t stay there.

We absolutely loved our stay at a hotel in Stralsund! The location was perfect, close to the beach and the harbor. The breakfast with a sea view was a delightful start to the day. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great tips for local excursions. The room was impeccably clean and peaceful, ensuring a comfortable stay. We can't wait to return!

Nothing, it is perfect.

The Baltic Sea views are wonderful, especially from the breakfast/dining room! Very easy walk into town and along the promenade in front of the hotel. Lovely breakfast buffet and dinner was very good too! They have parking, which is a very good thing as there isn't much long term parking in the area.

I loved the view from my room, overlooking the bay and the city center. The breakfast had high-quality food and a good variety of options. The staff was professional and friendly, providing excellent service. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the harbor area and within walking distance of the city center.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Rooms very very well appointed and the views across the sea to Ruegen were stunning, despite the grey and foggy weather.

The toiletries could be better. No conditioner, which is tricky for women with long hair.

It's right on the waterfront! Very close to everything in the Altstadt.

Only one layer of curtains - the "almost" blackout, but no gauzy ones. Open the curtains and you are very close to people walking by.

The breakfast buffet had a great variety of options to choose from, including fresh baked goods. , the location was perfect for exploring the city by foot, everything was within walking distance. The staff was friendly and attentive, eager to answer any questions.

The rooms were not up to par. We had a lot of trouble finding a place to park our car, and ended up having to use a public parking lot.

The great location & the design of the rooms (we were lucky enough to have sea-views through 3 windows). The friendliness of the staff, their willingness to speak English & their helpfulness in all sorts of ways:even providing a gluhwein specially for myself in late afternoon! Sorry that the sauna was not open in the morning as advertised in the notes about the hotel. Otherwise, very happy about everything!

the location was amazing, as it was very close to the harbor and the sea, making it possible to enjoy beautiful views. the room was simply perfect, with clean bathroom and comfortable bed, demonstrating an excellent maintenance. the breakfast was rich and delicious, including fresh fruits and juices, great selection of bread and pastries.

The pet policy was unclear, as we encountered some bad moments when trying to bring our dog and later on were surprised with high fees.

We found the Hafenresidenz to be a very comfortable, well designed four star hotel close to the harbour and an easy walk to the beautiful old city. Hotel staff were professional and the hotel restaurant provided a solid but tasty meal. It was also very good value for money given the timing of our visit in December. The gym was lovely, nice equipment, spacious and with views from the aerobic equipment but access hours were limited when we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is a long walk from the train station over cobbled streets. It didn't bother us but it might be a concern for others. The only other issue was the all pervading smell of cigarette smoke. It wasn't evident in our room, which was non-smoking, but as soon as you walked into the corridor you could smell it. The bar shared a door into a smoking room which made it reasonably uncomfortable for a couple of non-smokers not used to people being allowed to smoke anywhere indoors.

Beautifully designed rooms. Nice combination of an old building on the outside, with a "boutique hotel" type design inside. Elegant bathroom with plenty of surfaces to put your things on.
